The Traveler Shell - Saturdays, Dec 9, 16, & 30 from 10:15a-12:15p
Have you seen Andrea Mowry's new pattern, The Traveler Shell? It is versatile, cozy, and adorable! Join us as we learn how to create this fabulous garment together!
This is a drop shoulder, open cardi with big pockets and is worked from the bottom up, seamlessly, except for the underarms. The shoulders are finished with an exposed seam using the 3 needle bind off. The collar & cuffs are picked up and knitted out from the body. The pockets are knit separately and sewn on once the cardigan is finished.
Cost: $75 for three 2-hour sessions. Pattern not included in purchase price.
Required Skills: Intermediate skill level required. In this class we will learn how to work a bottom up sweater with a tubular cast on, German short rows and tubular bind offs. This class is perfect for returning students and intermediate knitters who are looking to bump their sweater skills up a notch.

SUGGESTED YARN
Designer has chosen to hold two unique yarns together but you could substitute a single strand of fingering weight or even sport weight yarn, just make sure to do a gauge swatch!
SUGGESTED NEEDLES
US 4/3.5 mm - 32-40” circular (2 sets for 3 Needle BO) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (such as Magic Loop or DPNs)
US 2/2.75 mm - 32-40” circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting for cuffs.
(Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge, going down two US sizes for the ribbing.)
