Come and join us in learning the art of brioche. This unique fabric characteristic has a look all its own. Together we'll learn the basics of brioche while creating this unique cowl, Valin, by Marlene Berghout.

In Brioche 1, you will learn how to create the beautiful stitches that make up brioche knitting.

Cost: $45 for two, 2-hour sessions

Required Skills: Basic knowledge of knitting is required. Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and work in the round.

Required Materials:
-Main Color - 110-120 yds worsted weight yarn in variegated or solid
-Contrast Color - 110-120 yds worsted weight yarn in solid color
*Heavily contrasting yarn is strongly recommended.
-Size US 8 16" circular needles
-Size US 6 16" circular needles
-Stitch marker

      Pre-Class Homework:
      Using **MC and larger needle (size 8) loosely cast on 90 stitches using the Old Norwegian/German Twisted Cast-on (or if using long-tail cast-on over 2 needles held together). Join for working in the round taking care not to twist stitches. Switch to smaller needle (size 6), place beginning of round marker and work 4 rounds in garter stitch (ie knit one round, purl one round, knit one round, purl
      one round).

      Fine Print:  Classes must be paid in full to reserve your spot.  Classes that do not fill up may be cancelled and refunds will be given.  Classes are non-refundable within 30 days prior to the workshop/class date. A 50% refund is granted if you cancel more than 30 days prior to the class date. No refunds will be given for missed classes.
