Ewe York Shawl - Sundays, Nov 7, 21, & Dec 5, 12-2pm
Ready go beyond the basics of brioche? Join us as work through the beautiful reversible shawl pattern Ewe York by Susanne Sommer. Brioche Mosaic Arrows adorn this deep triangular shawl that is surrounded by a contrasting border and an i-cord for a finished look. Choose between a striped i-cord in the main colors or add a fourth color for an extra color pop.
In this class we will learn how to incorporate brioche (tuck stitch) into a fascinated, textured, triangle-shaped shawl.
Skill Level: Intermediate knitting skills required. Must know how to knit basic brioche stitches. Check out our Brioche 101 class if you are just beginning this fascinating stitch.

You will need to purchase a copy of Ewe York by Susanne Sommer before the start of the first session. Pattern can be purchased through Ravelry (click here for pattern) or by visiting us in the shop at least 20 minutes prior to the start of class.
3-4 colors of fingering weight yarn (394-438 yds per 100 g)
Total yardage: approx 1143 yds (3-4 skeins)
*Heavily contrasting colors is recommended
-US 4/3.5 mm circular needles, 40” long
-2 DPNs (or size needed to obtain gauge and optimal drape)
-Optional: second set of circulars of the same size
24 sts & 20 rows = 4”/10 cm
Measured over cable stitch using Cable Fabric Needle, after blocking.
18 sts & 22 rows = 4”/10 cm
Measured over lace stitch using Lace Fabric Needle, after blocking.
16 Stitch Marker
Waste yarn or spare cable to hold sts if not using a second set of circulars
You may bring your own materials to class or if you wish to purchase prior to the start of the first class, you will receive a 10% discount on materials.
