Description

Are you in love with all the stranded yoke sweaters you’ve been seeing but have been a bit intimated by the process? Well here is an opportunity to practice stranded color work!

We’ll be working from the fantastic Strange Brew book by Tin Can Knits. It’s a bit of “choose your own adventure” so you will be getting help in picking your pattern and deciding if you want it “top down” or “bottom up”.  You can choose if you want it in fingering, dk or worsted weight. You can choose whatever size you want to make from baby all the way to adult 4XL, and then the fun begins in choosing your colors! If you feel that a sweater is a bit too much, there are even hat or cowl patterns to choose from.

Kim Winter will be here to guide us through the process and will be available to help you make decisions based on your needs and experience. You will have the opportunity to select your yarns and begin to make a gauge swatch in the first session and the second session will be to make sure you are comfortable with the pattern you have chosen. Following this class, if you would like more help, additional classes or individual time would be made at an additional cost, depending upon your need.

Cost: $45 for two 2-hour sessions. Pattern not included in purchase price.

Required Skills: This class is designed for the adventurous beginner to expert level.

Required Materials:

Pattern: must purchase Strange Brew book (available in the shop) or buy the individual pattern on Ravelry.
