Choosing the Right Yarn - Saturday, Oct 27, 11am-2pm
Did you know you do not have to use the exact yarn called for in a pattern? You may not have the requested yarn available or perhaps you just want a different finished look. Join us as we learn about choosing the yarn that is the best fit for your project!
About this class:
In Choosing the Right Yarn we will explore the construction and characteristic of yarns and how they affect the selection and execution of a sweater pattern. We will then discuss how you can take this knowledge and apply it to yarn substitutions in sweater patterns and how these substitutions will impact your finished project.
Required Skills: Advanced beginning to intermediate; helpful (but not necessary) to have some prior experience with sweater knitting.
Required Materials: Please bring a sweater pattern that you would like to knit and are interested in learning about yarn substitutions for. Sweater and swatch samples will be provided as visual aids.
