Join us as we welcome the amazing Karel Chan to help us design our own colorwork charts!
Create your own customized colorwork coffee cozy or coaster in this highly interactive workshop! Learn how to build a colorwork chart that brings your visions and imagination to life. We’ll discuss the basics of a colorwork chart, how to make it repeat without looking crazy, common traps to avoid, and other tips and tricks. You'll design your own original colorwork chart and we’ll cast on our class projects together. Walk away with a one of a kind piece!
About the instructor:
Karel Chan, of KC Knitting Co, is a local knitting designer and full-time mental health therapist. Incorporating mindfulness and mental wellness concepts into her designs and teaching, she invites you to find grounding in your craft and feel empowered to continually grow as a maker and creative.
Cost: $70 for one 2-hour session.
Required Skills:
Recommended for knitters who are comfortable with stranded colorwork, experimentation, and making mistakes!
Required Materials:
Chart-making materials will be provided. Please bring needles (for either small
circumference knitting in the round or flat knitting, your preference) and at least 2 colors of DK or worsted weight yarn (50-75 yards of each – think scraps!) to make your project.
You may bring your own materials to class or if you wish to purchase prior to the start of the first class, you will receive a 10% discount on materials, excluding patterns.

Classes are non-refundable within 30 days prior to the workshop/class date. A 50% refund is granted if you cancel more than 30 days prior to the class date.
