Goldwing Kits

When we saw Goldwing by Jennifer Steingass we knew we had the perfect yarn for the gorgeous sweater.  We're thrilled to have kits using Merino Linen Twist by Twisted Willow from Canada.  Each skein is 196 yards/100 grams of 90% superwash merino and 10% linen. This is the same base as Jennifer used for her sweater.

Goldwing is a top down and seamless circular yoke sweater with colorwork sleeves and an applied I-cord cuff. This project knits up quickly with DK or worsted weight yarn. Using just 2 colors, the contrast and main colors switch at the midway point of the yoke for both dark on light and light on dark colorplay. Options for your choice of rolled or ribbed neckline are included. This pattern is suitable for stranded colorwork beginners with rhythmic and easy to knit motifs. The feathers and colors were inspired by the Golden Snitch from Harry Potter!
