The Marieke hat is a pattern with a very nice colorwork design (accessible to beginners) on the entire body of the hat.
It features a large brim that needs to be folded in half and a large pompom.
NOTIONS & INFORMATION
Sizes : Baby, child, (Adult 1, 2). Circumference 38, 42,
(46, 52) cm.
After blocking, without stretching, is suitable for a head
circumference of 40-46, 46-50, (51-55, 56-60) cm.
Gauge : 23 stitches x 30 rows = 10 cm in stockinette
stitch in 3.75mm/US 5 (or another size to get the gauge)
Yarn and notions:
- DK weight Yarn: about 80, 105, (155, 180) meters for
the main colour and 25, 28, (30, 40) meters for the contrasting colour.
Yarn used for this version: Athena Base from Lain’amourée in size adult 1.
- Recommended needles (to get the gauge): 3.75mm/US 5
- 3.5cm/US 4 needles for the ribbing
