Whoever set this up should give Ikea lessons in how to do it right. This winder is assembled with some little tiny screws; each screw came screwed into the appropriate part; the winder came with a screwdriver of the right size for them, and, the best part, the screwdriver is strongly magnetic so I didn't lose any of those tiny screws during installation. Also, the directions are clear. It wound a nice center-pull skein, as expected. Only complaint is that it seems to be a trifle stiff, so that the ball has a fair bit of tension - to be fair, some of that might be my swift. When I rewound one ball, it came up a lot softer. I did find that it helped to position the winder around the corner of the table from my swift, so that the yarn was coming straight into it rather than at right angles.
