Brioche Twists & Turns - Sunday, Nov 15, 12-2pm
Ready to take your brioche knitting to the next level? Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or just itching to expand your art of brioche, this class is designed to help you master the twists, turns, and techniques that make brioche knitting so rewarding!
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll break down the fundamentals of brioche stitches and how to combine them to create stunning textures and patterns. You’ll work on a swatch that incorporates twists and turns, learning the essential “rules” of increasing and decreasing in brioche. We’ll also demystify brioche terminology, so you can confidently read patterns, charts, and instructions without hesitation.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a deeper understanding of brioche knitting, the confidence to tackle more projects, and the skills to read brioche charts. Let’s embark on this journey together, one stitch at a time, and unlock the potential of brioche knitting!
Cost: $50 for one, 2-hour session
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner with knowledge of brioche stitches (comfortable knitting, purling, yarn overs, increasing/decreasing, reading knitting instructions)
Required Materials*:
- Pattern will be provided in class
- US6/4 mm needle
- DK weight yarn, 2 colors with high contrast
- 1 Removable stitch marker, optional
You will receive a handout during class on basic brioche knitting stitches and how to work the brioche twists and turns, with photo tutorials.
