Sweater Knitting 101 - Saturdays, Oct 2, 23, & Nov 13, 12:15-2:15pm
Are you ready to dive into the world of sweater knitting? Join us as we work through the cabled sweater pattern Herbalist by Jennifer Parroccini with the designer herself as our instructor! This class is perfect for anyone who is new to sweater knitting as well as those who are looking to better understand sweater construction and how to alter a pattern for a better fit.
In Sweater Knitting 101 you will learn how to construct a bottom-up, raglan-sleeved, seamed sweater and will gain a better understanding of fit, modifications, and finishing details. We will also cover how to work cables, work directional increases and decreases, work a tubular cast-on and bind-off, pick up and knit stitches, and seam a sweater.
Skill Level: Advanced beginner to intermediate knitting skills required.
Cost: $75 for three, 2-hour sessions
Location: Knotty Lamb
You will need to purchase a copy of Herbalist by Jennifer Parroccini before the start of the first session. This pattern was written specifically for learning about sweater knitting.
