Knitted Kalevala III is the final book in the trilogy and a fantastic end to the knitwear designer Jenna Kostet’s journey into the world of Kalevala. Her stunning designs have been inspired by different poems in Kalevala and combined with mythology and traditional symbolism. The 18 patterns in this book comprise classic yoke sweaters as well as modern colorwork knits and simpler projects that are suitable for knitters less familiar with colorwork techniques.

Kalevala is considered a national epic in Finland and Jenna Kostet started knitting through its poems during the pandemic. Her first Knitted Kalevala book was published in 2022 and the second installment in 2024. Over the course of six years, Jenna has turned the 50 poems compiled from Finnish and Karelian verses into three knitting books that provide a new way to immerse yourself in these traditions.
