Sailor Slippers - Sundays, Dec 7 & 14, 12-2pm

If you are looking for the perfect gift to knit up this holiday season you are in the right place! These fabulous Sailor Slippers have been popular on Ravelry for several weeks now. In this class we will learn about i-cords, kitchener stitch, striping, and felting.

Cost: $65 for two, 2-hour sessions

Location: This is an in-person class held at Knotty Lamb

Required Skills: Beginner friendly but must have experience casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.

Sizes:
UK shoe size: 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 (8) 9 (10) 11 (12)
EU shoe size: 36 (37) 38 (39) 41 (42) 43 (45) 46 (47)

For EU sizes 40 and 44, I recommend knitting sizes 39 and 43, respectively.

Gauge:

• 12 stitches x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches in stockinette stitch on 8mm US 11 needles before felting
• 15 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches in stockinette stitch on 8mm US 11 needles after washing and felting

Needles:

• 8mm US 11 circular needles
• 8mm double pointed needles (optional)

Materials:
Total for both slippers:

• Color A (main): 70 (70) 80 (80) 90 (90) 100 (100) 110 (110) yards
• Color B (accent): 60 (60) 70 (70) 80 (80) 90 (90) 100 (100) yards
• Color C (i-cord): 20 (20) 20 (20) 20 (20) 25 (25) 25 (25) yards
• Color D (sole): 80 (80) 90 (90) 100 (100) 110 (110) 120 (120) yards

You can use any yarn that meets gauge - just make sure that it is 100% wool and non-superwash.

Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers, a small towel to add more friction to the felting process and a pillowcase or mesh laundry bag to wash your slippers in (optional)

You may bring your own materials to class or if you wish to purchase prior to the start of the first class, you will receive a 10% discount on supplies carried by Knotty Lamb, excluding patterns.
